So lately my 16-month-old is really digging scrambled eggs. She would eat them everyday if i let her. However, i don't want to give my baby high cholesterol or something. What do you think is the maximum amount of eggs she should a have a week?

My son (now 2 1/2) also went through a stage where all he would eat was eggs. I thought maybe it was bad for him because he was sometimes eating 4 a day! So, I talked to my doctor and he said not a problem, he would be fine and probably grow out of it. He did, but as a solution to make me feel a little better about it, I started making his eggs with two whole eggs and two egg whites. The whites are better for you and dont have so much cholesterol. (Egg beaters and egg substitutes are basically the whites of the egg with color added and that is what you are supposed to eat while lowering cholesterol)

An egg a day would be fine for your 16-month old. Try giving something else with the eggs so she doesn't just fill up on eggs.

Nobody should have more then 2 eggs per week. Consider whats in most eggs and what the chickens are pumped up with. If you are going to eat eggs..buy vegetarian fed, organic eggs.

maybe your child is lacking that vitamin or that protein. Eggs aren't going to cause a problem in a child. Eating candy would cause a problem. My grand mother has eaten eggs and bacon every day of her life and she is healthy as a horse. I would say not go let your child eat eggs for every meal but if she likes them then let her eat them. Egg are full of protein and great for growth.

My son loved eggs at that age.. When it got to the point me wanted them all of the time.. I just made him egg whites.. He didn't mind in the least bit.. The yolk is the part that is really bad for you.. The protein is GREAT for her though..
See if she will let you get away with just making her egg whites most of the time instead of the whole egg.. And you can feed her those as much as she wants..
As it turns out.. my son is 4 now and he HATES eggs.. I couldn't pay him to eat them.

Just make her eggs with half a yoke and two whites, or a yoke and a couple whites. She'll be okay.

Really one egg is enough per day, but so avoid too much cholesterol throw out the other yokes.

I don't think that giving her scrambled eggs like twice a wek would hurt her. I would say 4 eggs but you should check with you doctor to be sure.

I'm limiting my son's diet to one egg per day. Some days I would left the egg off the menu. But for those days, I just use cooked white meat to ensure he's getting enough protien everyday. (He doesn't eat cheese so can't really use that as the protein source.)

I would say eggs for breakfast every day would be fine. We had eggs every morning for breakfast whe I was growing up and all of us are fine. However ask ya doctor to be sure.
