Depends on your insurance company. You can find out by calling them (the number is on your card). Some insurances cap at a price, some cap at a number of visits, and some cap at a number of consecutive days. It's important to know your limitations so you can make an educated decision on how to utilize your benefits.

If you are asking about Medicare, its $1740.00 - but Medicare really only pays 80% ($1392.00) and the patient or secondary insurance pays the last 20% ($348.00).

In regards to the post above, it is true that there is a cap for PT services for those on Medicare. However, this applies only to free-standing clinics. Hospital-based clinics are not subject to the cap. As long as the the therapy is necessary, makes progress towards objective goals and requires the skill of a therapist, there is no cap for those attending PT in a hospital-based clinic.

Private insurances, however, vary greatly. I've seen some that authorize 6 visits a year (and then only pay $30 a visit), and I've had some that get 60 visits a year...or no limit at all!
