Is eating a banana in public an uncomfortable experience? I always feel like people are watching me wrap my mouth around this phallic object. Anyone out there feel the same way about this? I almost feel ashamed when doing it....

Yes I do. When men see women eating a banana they automatically start thinking oral sex!

yes, i suppose i do. I started breaking up the banana into pieces and eating the pieces a long time ago. The banana is very phallic and i think subconsciously people associate you eating the banana with ... well... that.

Well - you have something in common with our Hawaii brothers - according to their OLD religeon - before they became a Christian colony - they believed that the banana had sexual powers and as such the women were not permitted to eat this fruit. That was some 150 or 200 years ago. Today - of course - they accept it as we do here!

You are what you eat. That is what people says. But if you let other peoples' mind think for you, what will you do next? Don't eat at all, just because others are looking funny at you. First it will banana, next it will be your steak and salad. So eat what you like and enjoy it. It is your body and no-one else.

I don't feel weird eating a banana, it is a tasty fruit and if someone wants to have some sort of sexual thoughts while watching me do it, then good for them, hope they have a nice day!

Hard to admit, but yes -sometimes -especially eating big banana covered with chocolate icing in front of my friends.Well ..though they re all doing exactly the same thing...but to me it's feel soooo uncomfortable.... :-p
