if she loves music, give her a girlie looking rock concert type room. use colors like pink white black and silver. paint her name with superstar next to it, music notes, guitars, and cd's on the walls. make a liitle makeshift stage for her to perform on with a microphone and a liitle keyboard/guitar.try a multi colored (colors above) comforter with lots of throw pillows, use pretty beaded and glittery accents to make her feel like a superstar. u can also find or make a discoball to hang from the ceiling.she can use this theme well into her teens.

.She's only 1, she will like what you like. Keep to the basics and do her room with which ever color she picks. Go to your local paint supply store and pick up some different color strips, put them it front of her, and see which ones she seems to feel most happy with. She may like purple. It is a happy, carefree color. Great for all of those who tend to be artistically inclined. Light blue is very soothing. Yellow is very happy and cheerful. Roses make every girls day. :) And they love them from children to adults. They also come in all colors! A good theme, it is easy to change hues as they get older

Pick something that will grow with her. She's young but if she has decided interests use them. Don't go crazy with it because her interests may change but if she likes animals or flowers she should be able to have them, well pictures anyway. I would put up a cheap colorful blanket and put stuff she likes up with just a stitch or 2. It'll be easy to take things down and you can wash the blanket if you need to and you won't need to worry about her swallowing pins or anything.

try a bubble theme. you can paint bubbles on the walls, and make a chandelier of iridecent (sp?) bulb ornaments to go with the bubbles. this is also a great way to have a lot of color, without being too theme specific.

Pick her favorite TV show or movie, and do it kinda like that. If she likes Dora, do Dora, or Blues clues. My sister did that and my neice loved it. She let my neice get involved in what the room looked like, let her decide what she wanted in it.

pink and cut out loads of pics of fairies and princess's and girlie stuff. then paste them on the walls and around her bed so she doesnt have to get up to see them, maybe put a shelf all round the room for her cuddly toys as im sure shes got loads and will get more.
