I am SERIOUS...Depending on how much...decrease only a tiny bit then take that amount for a week...... if you can not sleep or suffer from other withdrawel symptoms ( flu like symptoms body ache) you take the usual amount right away and wait a few days...that means that you decreased too much.. I have no idea how much you are taking ... if you do not feel any problem then take that same reduced amount for one week or more... BE PATIENT....The major point is that you are tricking your body...this has to be done carefully if your body has incorporated the drug into the way it works (opiates) if it is addicted (will suffer without it)...understand that the moment that your body realizes that you are depriving it of the percocet it will not trust you and you will require more prercocet in order for your body to feel safe....Avoid this at all costs. this is why you must go so slowly....there may be some discomfort ...but if you are taking off a small enough amount and waiting long enough then it will be ok....... for example if you are on 5 mg, use a cutter or something to shave off the exaxt same amount ...like 1/8th of the pill....so you are taking 4 mg for that week ..7-10 days, if you are using up the whole bottle too soon each month and are taking 50 mg. then take off 2 mg for 4 days then ...look you must not rush it OR YOUR BODY will notice. That is how people get huge habits and all that....if you feek sick ..during the process then you should take that amount for a couple of weeks until your body adjusts...then go a bit lower... you can e mail me if you want to discuss the details I will walk you through it... Do not make the same mistake that everyone makes and go too fast. It is not going to work...and you will take it again or think about it too much...... once you are down half the amount...consider taking that for a while ..I assume you are using it every day ...not just once a week or when you get a headsche...There is another med for headaches that is addictive but if you only use it for the headache then that may work..I am out of space...

I would say first of all...change doctors! If she doesn't know how to get you off of the Percocet then she never should have prescribed it. It is like any narcotic...you have to come down off of it slowly. If you take 4 a day cut it down to 3 aday for 2 weeks or so, then 2 a day...etc. But first and foremost see someone else for a doctor!!! Good luck and God bless!!
