They're foster cats, so when they're adopted, the new owners may change the names.. but I'll have them for at least about the next 2-3 months, so I wanna name them. And the shelter that I'm fostering through wants me to name them too. Anyway, my point is that if I pick out good enough names, maybe the new owners won't change their names, which would be cool.

There are three orange ones (boys) and one all-black one (not sure of sex) and one mostly black one with white paws and chest and belly (not sure of its sex either). They're only five days old, so I'm just brainstorming about names at this point. :)

When dogs have liters (from a professional breeder) the owner picks a theme, say the beach for example, and names each dog off of something from that theme....breezy, sunshine, sandy, etc. Although it is an example from canines, I'm sure that you can utilize this method for your feline family as well. Have fun naming them!

congrats on being a foster mama! i have fostered 5 litters over the past 2 years, and naming the kittens is always a fun thing to do. you may want to wait until they are a few weeks older to see their personalities. i have had a few of my names stick with the new owners.

some i have used:

These guys were a litter of 3 boys and 4 girls calico and black
miguel
carlos
alberto
bella
sophia
alessandra
maria

My first foster one white and black male named Caesar

Another litter:
Zeba (female black and white)
Trevor(orange tabby)

Next litter:
Phoenix(orange tabby)
Austin(all white except a little orange on head)

My latest foster kitties all white(just returned on Saturday!)
Aspen(male)
Magnolia
Cirrus
Guinevere

when we get cats we name them after there personality or what they look like
for example
we have hav a cat thats is mean and thinks she is the queen bee
her name is sassy
we had a kitten that was grayish white and name her misty
orange cats we have named tiger, tigger or tiger lily
also we hav a cat that is all sorts of different colors we named her missy (miscellaneous) also another would be patches and if they are all grey we would name them smokey. so really name them what ever you think is best and suits then the most

I have a cat and of course I think her name is the best, it is
Lucy Loo. For boy kittens I like the names Eminem, Homey, (so when you get home you can yell come here Homey!) I thinks its also cute when an adorable kitten has like an old man sounding geeky name cause its a funny but cute match like Frank, George, Fred stuff like that. Good luck and you should post the ones you end up choosing!

My mom once had a family cat named Elvis. They had another orange cat named Pumpkin. Carrot or Mango might be a good name for another orange kitten. If they're striped like a tiger, you could name one Tony for Tony the Tiger. I think one could be named Fuzzy, or if he/she is fussy, maybe Fussy instead. For the black ones you could call one Blackjack or Jackie for short, or Licorice, or Shadow.
