Now this is gonna take time.
U can't do it over-night.
U need 2 cut down the dose, day by day until U need it no more.
U may feel happier 2 take just a half a tablet 4 a while, but U will kick it.
Expect the first week 2 B hard, take UR time & don't force it.

I am an addictions counselor and the best thing to do is to talk to your family doctor first and they can help you explore ideas andhelp in your area.If you are in the States then I am not sure if you are covered or not. Do explore this. There are many different options you may want to explore. Codiene is an opiate and and addiction can be treated in several ways . Find the one that you think is best for you. Good Luck !!!
( Please try to enlist support of family and friends if you are comfortable with that. Suppport is an component of recovery)

Slowly decrease your dosage everyday. What dosage are you taking? How much? How Often do you take them?
If you take them say every 4 hours push yourself to go without for 6 hours then decrease your doseage slightly everyday if pain worsens increase intake of Ibuprofen or Tylenol or a combo of the two. This should keep you normal and functioning without going to a drug clinic. Best of Luck.

Talk with your local doctor or see if there is a local detox center near you.
There usually are a bunch of rules you need to enquire about and often there are no immediate spots available, so you may have to call them several times.
I guess it depends on how serious you are about getting off the codeine.

Don't do it anymore! Try a rehab facility. Your doctor can help you find one. Or you can look in the phone book. Good luck.
