some where along a lake or the ocean. was in Hawaii in May on 5th aniv. & got beautiful sunsets while on a dinner cruise. also mountains make a nice backdrop. I once video taped a complete eclipse of the moon. fast forwarding it was fun too.

New Zealand is world knowen for having great both sunrise and sunsets since we are so low on the world map which because of where the sun sets and rises,so they last longer and can look amazing, this can also relate to Antarctica which only has something stupid like 6 months of sunlight each year but is 24/7 for that 6 months in a row then it's dark for 6 months.Australia is not to far from us but one minute is light and then one minute it is dark as any New Zealander would put it,since the sunset overthere is so quick and you don't get a chance to relax with it And I forgot to add that the south island is better but it can get a lot colder in places unless inland or at the top of the south island,so in all of that I shouldn't have said all of New Zealand just the south Island of it (mainly)

Cape May, NJ has gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Nothing like sitting right on the beach surrounded by the ocean watching the sun reflect off of it. So beautiful! Cape May is at the very southern tip of New Jersey.

most folks say someplace tropical--hawaii, and key west are both famous for their sunsets and sunrises, you can also witness a sunset and sunrise on top of the Haleakala volcano on Maui--pretty amazing. otherwise, just about everywhere can have a gorgeous sunset or sunrise, just no telling when! arizona is famous for them as well.
