In a boyfriend right now I am truly happy I would not change anything about him or our relationship. But when one part of your life is 'prfect' the other parts are no where close. But to answer your question yeah I think I would truly be happy

it depends what or who it is if getting what you wants causes some one else upset then i dont think you will be happy in the long run every one thinks having money would be great but 9 times out of 10 it just causes you pain how ever if you really want something or some one and no one gets hurt then i cant see why you wouldnt be happy

You know considering all the variables following the 'getting what/who you want' .....there are no gaurantees for happiness without working to happy. If its an object, it wont love you back.
If it's a person, no gaurantee the person will love you back or also strive for happiness and harmony. One can only try and try. ;)

Someone told me once that Marriage, by itself cannot turn an unhappy person into a happy one, and likewize with stuff. A truly happy person will be happy regardless of what or whom they have.

You cant really answer that until you actually get whatever it is you want.
Sometimes you think that if you just have that one thing, all will be right with the world. Then you obtain it, and it isnt what you expect.
One of the many mysteries life brings us...

I believe if I got him, I would be truly happy. At least for a little while anyways.

Yes I would.
The problem is you don't really the person you want until you know what you don't want in someone. Usually by the time you figure that out, it leaves little time to find what you are looking for.

yes, but as long as the who and what things you really want are realistic, and good things...

Not wanting a million dollars but to be financially secure and work toward it.

Not wanting a tall, dark and hansom man. But wanting happy and loving relationships/friendships.

etc.etc.

You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life.
