God the Father.

Here is how it works: We have all sinned, and we all owe a debt to God. None of us can pay the debt, since we do not have the ability. Only one who is blameless can pay the debt. God sent his Son, who did not sin (though he had the opportunity to do so if he had wanted to--having been tempted in the desert), to pay for our sins with his own blood.

If you are going to ask next, "How did God pay a debt owed to God?", then I have an answer for that as well. It regards the Trinity, which is a hard thing to get your mind around unless you have accepted the gift of salvation.

This is not a cop-out, which many who do not believe claim it to be. We reach God through the heart and soul--and then he clarifies the mind. Things that appear illogical and bizarre when we don't have faith become startlingly clear once we make the act of faith. A gift you get for going to God in humility is the ability to understand these things that appear to be impenetrable paradoxes, if not direct contradictions. Let's just put it this way: Life is complex, and the truth, as a result, is (intellectually) complex too. A "simple" truth cannot "solve" the complexity of human life, in other words. Although the truth of salvation becomes quite simple once you accept it, it is not a simple concept...if that makes sense to you at all.

Anyway, if you are interested, contact me and we'll talk further. If not, then not.

He paid the penalty to God the Father, the Almighty One, Living Judge of All the Earth.

God the Father had a standard of perfection and righteousness that Adam and Eve ruined by their disobedience. God knew from the start that they would disobey, but in giving them free will, He also gave them the opportunity to choose between right and wrong.

His "back-up" plan was already in place. The Son of God, Jesus Christ, would come and offer Himself as the Sacrifice. In this manner God Himself was able to equal out the "balance" of righteousness. It is a spiritual thing and hard for some to understand. But that's His plan as clearly stated in the Bible.

Jesus shed His blood for our sins so there would never need to be any more animal sacrifices. He did this as an offering to the Father in Heaven who rules and reigns over all the earth.

To God, Our Heavenly Father.

It is impossible for God to allow sin into Heaven and man is sinful. In the Bible, in Romans it says "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Jesus paid our sin debt - through Him you can be cleansed, forgiven. Blessings.

Obviously he did not include you and me for the penalty. He paid enough for himself alone.
The guys who answered befroe me are absolutely right. God will not be stupid to send his son to die for someone else specially if he just made them.

Do you really believe that 1 person should be held responsible for the sins he never comitted? it'a all a myth. instead, every person is responsible for what they did?!! when you do some thing wrong, should your parents be punished 4 it? we never learned that! it even goes against common sense..
