I want to get away from potato salads and other typical "get-togethers" foods.

Ingredients:
1 cup (1/2 lb) Crab meat
8 oz Cream Cheese
1 Tbsp Milk
2 Tbsp finely chopped Onion
1/2 Tbsp Salt
dash of Pepper
1/2 cup slivered Almonds
1/4 cup crumbled Potato Chips

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350F. Blend the cream cheese and milk. Combine this mixture with crab meat, onion, salt and pepper. Mix well and spoon into an oven-proof baking dish. In a separate bowl, mix the slivered almonds and a few crumbled potato chips. Sprinkle this mixture over the top of the cream cheese and crab meat. Bake for 15 minutes. Serve hot in stylish bowl with serving spoon. Serve with raw vegetables, crackers, or spread crab dip on small-loaf rye bread slices



1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

WHEAT THINS Snack Crackers


BEAT cream cheese, dressing and milk in small bowl with electric mixer on low speed until well blended.

STIR in crabmeat, red pepper, lemon juice and parsley; cover. Refrigerate at least 1 hour to blend flavors. Serve as a dip with crackers.

Hot Crab Dip Recipe
1 pound jumbo lump crabmeat, free of shells
1 cup grated pepper jack cheese
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
1/4 cup green onions, minced, optional
5 to 6 roasted garlic cloves or 2 cloves minced
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons fresh lemon or lime juice
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
Salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Combine all of the ingredients in a casserole and gently stir until thoroughly mixed. Bake for 40 minutes. Serve hot with crackers.

EASY HOT CRAB DIP

1 small onion
1 can crab meat (drained)
1 large package cream cheese

In a food processor, finely chop onion, add cream cheese, pulse to process again.
Add crab meat and quickly process for a few seconds.

Dill weed and paprika may be added for extra color.

Place in a pie pan type dish and bake at 350F for approximately 20-25 minutes or until well heated through.

Serve with crackers.

Variation: Shrimp may be used instead of crab.

Creamy Baked Crab Dip


1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 can (6 oz) crabmeat
2 tablespoons grated onion
1 tablespoon milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon finely sliced green onions, for garnish
In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, crabmeat, onion, milk, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well. Place mixture in an ovenproof serving dish; sprinkle with a little paprika. Bake at 375 ° for about 15 minutes, or until thoroughly heated. Sprinkle with with sliced green onion. Serve w/ crackers.
Makes about 2 cups

*I add a shake or two of garlic powder & hot pepper flakes

Louisiana Krab Dip

2 lb pkg of imitation Crab (chopped)
2 pkgs of cream cheese
1 cup of diced celery
Louisiana Hot Sauce

in a blender mix the cream cheese & diced celery, then add the imitation krab. Then add the hot sauce to your liking.Mix til you have a creamy texture, goes real good with Ritz crackers
