Short term: higher costs and slower service at restaurants and food service, moderately higher prices for fruits and vegetables (most farm workers are legal migrant workers, not illegals), some retail service issues because of the illegals in transportation, tax revenues would drop alarmingly and taxes on legal workers would go up to make up the difference, higher taxes means less spending and that means less sales tax going to states, so sales tax will go up to make up the difference.
Long term: a legal worker system will be put into place where farmers, restaurants and other establishments can use a legally established system (oh good, another bureaucracy!) to request legal workers. The legal workers would be permitted to work at that establishment and would have to return home at the end of their assignment or apply for permission to stay but at another job willing to sponsor them.
It will not affect salaries for legal workers except short term, like in the 80's when salaries ballooned because unemployment was too low. But as legal immigrant workers return the salaries will remain stagnant. The people who claim they cannot find a job now still won't get one even after the illegals are removed unless the government does the right thing and ends entitlements along with illegal immigration to force free loaders off the couch and into the workforce.

As another already said; "Make the Mexican government responsible for its own citizens and its own economy." Also strict punishments fines imprisonment for companies or individuals who hire them. And a last resort if needed a wall with armed soldiers on the border. If they want to come to this country let them do so legally or stay where they are at. Period. It's time some of the world started taking care of their own citizens.

not saying the economy will drop dead but it would be unstable for a while untill they come up with a solution. i mean if they pay an "illegal" 6 bucks an hour, and people say "that they drag minimum wages down" then a citizen would want more than 6 bucks an hour and for the goverment to raise atleast a dollar would be really hard after kicking all the "illegals" out.

Unemployment would go down, people would be working. There would be less people driving illegally on the roads. Crime rates would go down. Slum housing would be diminished. It would be a beautiful domino effect.

Only the businesses that abuse these workers would be adversely affected. They would have to hire workers at fair wages and it would cut their profit margins.

Wages for the middle class would start going up again instead of the steady trend down.

Higher prices in produce, fast food restaurants and other services done by undocumented workers. I doubt any American would want to work 40 hours a week for 6.50 an hour.
