Your local city, county and state administrations should all have websites available. Look for job or career opportunities as a link from the main page. It will list any current opening and this includes law enforcement officers. Your local police and sheriff department may also have a separate website of there own.

well, it's not really a single website. You have to research departments in your area that are hiring. You need to fill out applications, and then go through the interview process...it takes a looong time! But, it will be well worth it if you get in! Try searching under specific cities and towns. Many have their own web sites and have a section for careers. Google (I mean Yahoo) it and see what you come up with!

What PD do you want to work for?? Go to their Web page just type in the search name of town PD. Then you go to their recruitment link that will let you know what you need to do. Most large towns have their own Academy but they usually require military experience or college hours anywhere from 21 college hours to a BA degree.

If your town does not have a web site just call them and ask about recruitment and their Minimum Requirements.

GOOD LUCK
