I kept cockatiels with my budgies 1 year, and found in breeding season the cockatiels killed all the budgie young from the nests.

so i would keep your parakeets separate during breeding season, but may be kept together if flight area is very spacious out of breeding season.

hope this helps :)

In an aviary, I have kept rosellas and cockatiels and budgies and lovebirds together. It was the lovebirds that did the bullying ...everyone else was fine.
On a one-to-one basis though, I moved a lovebird into a cage with a budgie (both of them got "widowed" so I thought I'd give it a try) and they were great together!

Yes, you can. They are very mellow birds. I have a Garden-of-Eden Rosella who is in love with a Yellow Latino Ringneck, plus I have 7 cockatiels and 3 budgies and they Rosella, Miss Charlie, is loved by all of them.

I also asked professional help on question of compatability of birds, having aviary bottom garden, yes was told budgies and cockatiels ,together but not breeding. but on no terms put lovebirds as they are a bully only because their beaks are what they are a small version of parrot family. So if Rosellas are from parrot family please be carefull, maybe quite but could turn on others.

rosellas are quite sweet so should be able to be kept in with budgies and i know that cockatiels can be kept in with budgies.
