hey, maybe you should actually get off yahoo answers and spend some time researching depression before you make your unfounded opinions known. i seriously hope that nobody you care about ever has to suffer through depression because you would be of absolutely no help and/or support.

People do not make time for depression, it is a state of mind that sets in when the brain is overloaded with too much to handle. I have been fighting depression for 3 years now, and winning because i am feeling better, but my brain went into a serious overload when my wife passed away. No matter how one looks at certain things, in my case, death has no room for wonderment!

Until you expereince such displeasure, you will truely not understand. I did not until it happened to me.

You obviously don't understand what depression is. Asking a clinically depressed person to do some yoga to feel better is like suggesting a diabetic to quit their whining and just produce insulin on their own. Go be reborn or something.

at times yes, but many times (as in my case) it is completely a chemical deal. with a very low dose of an anti-depressant, i finally realized what it was like to be happy and also realized that i had been depressed my whole life. with me, there was no underlying situation for me to be feeling bad, yet i still cried uncontrollably. yes i did yoga, meditation, exercise and eating right, but none of it worked.

Unless you have suffered from chronic depression, you have no idea how limiting it is. people do not take time for depression, depression takes control. Without guidance, it is almost impossible to lift out of that condition. I agree with you about the medicaton. That is just to boost pharmaceutical sales.

people don't try to make time for depression. it is a chemical imbalance in their brain that they cannot help. the only way is by using medication. it just affects everything, and the only way to look at things differently is by getting help. depression is not something that comes one day and then is automatically gone the next.

I recommend taking out the windows of the car with a baseball bat. Very satisfying!

Apparently, you've never been diagnosed with depression or you wouldn't be spewing this garbage.

Depression is a chemical unbalance in your brain, just the same as diabetes is a chemical unbalance in your blood sugar. You have to take supplements (antidepressants) to correct the imbalance.

Yes, that's one of the symptoms of depression; losing your joy in life. Nothing seems fun anymore.

Depression takes a lot of energy. It consumes your life. Your left with nothing but sadness and fatigue.

When we feel depressed, we misplace our sense of wonderment. When we fall in love or get excited about something, our wonderment will return. It's glorious.
