I know that this has been asked before, but I'm asking again. I'm a mother of 3, the oldest is 18 (don't want to tell my age, LOL). But I definitely don't feel my age. I feel like I did when I was a 18 or 19. It's just that my knees and hip keep telling me that those days are long gone, but I wish they weren't. I still party and have fun like I'm that age, but my recovery time is not a couple hours of sleep. It's a day with lots of liquids and sleep.

After reading some of your comments I just wanted everyone to know that you guys have made my day.

When my oldest was about 7 or 8 she asked me why I didn't dress like a 'mother', whatever the heck that meant. Too many TV shows with women in the home with dresses and shoes on. LOL. I have Tatoos and piercings all in the ears, but this was done before it was a 'fashion statement'. The funny thing is that my kids want the extra earrings and the tattoos. LOL.

I feel about half my age. I still feel like a "college kid."

I think part of the issue is that we are NOT turning into our parents, in some ways. (In many, we ARE!) But our generation still wears jeans and sneakers, so we don't feel like the grown-ups we remember, who acted so "formal" at times. We've re-defined aging, in a way.

But I bet the young folks, with their tattoos and piercings and different styles, see us as the old farts we are!

Music too. We feel "young" when we listen to rock because our parents didn't. But I got jarred into reality when the "oldies" station started playing my favorite college songs!

I am nearly 40 chronlogically. I have had many severe injuries in my life so I feel closer to 60 but I still get up and participate in all of the aspects of my life. I do the best to live each day as though it were the first day AND the last day of my life. It keeps me in the moment.

I have four kids with the oldest being only 9 and I feel like I'm about 20. I wonder why we never feel as old as we are. Things that make you go...hmmmmmm.

I agree. I'm 31 and I have two small kids, but I still probably act like i'm in my late teens, early 20s. I started feeling guilty when I realized I was still drooling over young hot guys and I realized that they weren't my age anymore!!
