is there any health reason to absolutely not have intercourse during a woman's period?

(Is a n a l intercourse the natural solution to the problem at that time ?) Is a man giving oral sex during a woman's period unhealthy?

Would you? Have you?

It's never been a problem for me. In fact, during my period is when I feel the most frisky! I don't know about oral sex though, that might be a little...icky for you. And anal sex is NEVER the solution, lol.

The best way to know if there is a health reason not to have intercourse while a woman is on her period differs with each individual and the woman should ask her doctor before doing so if there is any concern. I doubt anal intercourse is a natural solution- there are too many things that can go wrong with anal intercourse. I have yet to see anyone mention in these answers that the area where a woman has her period is not the same place where most of the oral sex should be happening. When a woman is menstruating, the blood (and there isn't that much, usually) comes out of the vagina, whilst having oral stimulation, the most pleasurable area to concentrate on is the clitoris. 99 % of the time it is okay to have intercourse and/or perform oral. Like I said before, there usually isn't that much blood. A woman can wear a tampon while the guy is giving oral stimulation, or you could put a condom on a dildo and use that in the vagina while doing oral. The decision to do any of this is of course up to the partners and should be discussed and agreed upon by both.
As for "would you? have you? That's none of your business and really doesn't have any bearing to your question so, I have to wonder why you ask.

1. No.
2. No.
3. No.
4. Yes.
5. Yes.

There is no health reason not to have intercourse during a woman's period. In fact, for me, I'm more sensitive then and the sensations are more intense. Everything's a bit swollen. Anal isn't a natural solution to the problem - because it's not a problem. But anal is just an alternative to intercourse, regardless of time of the month. Oral sex is not unhealthy, although I wouldn't recommend swallowing (although you guys like us to do that for you), but it's rare that a man can actually bring himself to do oral when she's menstrating. Original question. :) Thanks for the points.

There are no health reasons that would merit not having sex during menstruation. The only set backs are dictated by the moralistic troglodytes that still lurk among us and have myriad other 'thou shalt nots' in their repertoire.

Anal intercourse is not to be seen as an alternative to vaginal intercourse during menstruation. Anal intercourse is s choice one makes regardless of the time of the month.

Giving and receiving oral sex during menstruation is a matter of taste, no pun intended! It has nothing to do with possible medical setbacks. The only danger is the contracting of any STDs that may be present in the host at the time the oral sex is performed when all the conditions of transmittal are present.

I would and I have! For experimental purposes!

I have had sex during that time. It wasn't different. Of course, you always warn first LOL. And oral during that time? I'm sure it's not any more unhealthy than doing it in the first place, but it's a really disgusting thought to me. Sorry. But it's blood. And as far as having sex, there's no health reason to not do it, and I've read a few articles that said it's really good to help reduce cramps.I'd assume that most girls who do anal just do that during that time.

There aren't any health reasons that I've ever heard of. For me at least, I love intercourse during my period. I'm a lot more sensitive during that time so the pleasure is doubled. As for oral.....I think it's just an aquired taste.

I have never heard of it being unhealthy to have sex during the period. I have many many times. Anal could be the solution if the girl or the guy just doesn't like all the mess. I dont know if oral is unhealthy but I dont think it is. I have had it done to me and he is still alive....lol....I leave that up to the guy. If it doesn't bother him it doesn't bother me....lol

I dont believe that there is a real health reason not to have sex during a woman's cycle.

I don't believe its unhealthy for a man to give a woman oral sex during her cycle either.

Nope, in fact most women enjoy it even more then. It may be a little messy but there are not health reasons to avoid it. A n a l sex however is something you must be careful with, never entering the vagina after you have been in her anus. If she likes it do it but don't force it on her.
Yes i would have sex either way and have done it. Its what the woman feels comfortable with doing.
Oral sex at anytime is OK too. Again if she likes it, do it.

Give the woman a break. Other than the obvious that it's messy and probably nasty. You can wait the 2-7 days. I don't think drinking someone's blood is ever healthy. Personally, I would not want to do anything why it was the time of month, you feel bad anyway so why compound it.
