Well try and get his phonebook and ask him to disclose the relationship he shares with the girls on the list--- he might think ur insane but if he likes u then he would not refrain from doing so and u will get ya way--- Ur not just looking for a flick just for the heck of it--- if no then acting a bit demented shall solve the purpose-- although don't scare him too much-- While he is answering see his facial expressions and rate of speech--- Use ya brains and don't get swayed by his personailty and don't let him change the topic after answering a couple of questions--- that would mean he is circumspect about the whole situation-- All the best

You could ask subtly, like does your girlfriend like that or what did you and your girlfriend get up to over the weekend? If he has a girlfriend he probably won't answer the question or he'll side step it. Have to say, if he doesn't want to tell you directly he has a girlfriend, the answer probably is he has, why would he not tell you if he didn't? Sorry it might not be the answer you want.

I think you can talk directly, especially if you are meeting on internet.
Or when you see him for the first time, and feel comfortable, ask him if he's seeing someone else now.

there's no other way to know since you don't know him personally and you just know him at internet,just ask him its up to him if he will tell you the truth and how you will take it.BUt sometimes you can also feel it if the man ur interested at is already committed to someone else.
