I have brown eyes and want to color my hair for a "change". Any ideas on what color? My hair is a sandy blonde, very bland hair color. What can I do to add some life to it?

I have naturally med to dark brown hair. I stay close to my natural color. I have done the "drastic" color choices and... it wasnt my best idea. I would say try a wash out hair color that is a shade lighter or a shade darker. They normally wash out in 20 or more washes and it may help you decide if you want to tackle it yourself, or get a pro to do it. good luck and happy coloring.

It's not a direct answer, but you should go by a hair salon. They have hair color samples in a variety of shades of brown, red, blonde, and black. I've even seen blues and purples. I would make a gradual change with temporary hair color because you may not like the results. At least with the hair samples you can hold them against your face for a peek of what that color might look like on you.
I was a blonde but with age my hair darken to a dull brown. Highlights helped but I've recently become a red-head. I love the red hair.
My daughter is a natural red head with dark brown eyes and she gets compliments daily.

Go for natural highlights if you want to improve the shade of dull hair - but for a big change, you could go bright red. Dark orange-red goes great with brown eyes, and so does light brown, or golden-auburn-blond, like Meredith on Grey's Anatomy.

Dark brown with some highlights and low lights...looks awesome. I have brown eyes and it's very complementory..... or keep your sandy blonde hair and add some highlights and lowlights to it..that way you wouldnt see the root grow in.

dont make a dramatic change, cause it could turn out horrible, why dont you try adding some highlights to your hair or lowlights, that way it will change up your hair color to add a little something and appear a different color with out making a major change, try a dark brown lowlight with ice blonde highlights,

Well I'm brown eyed...take a look at my picture...I love my blonde hair...but since you're blonde already, why don't you try a brighter blonde. I have tried every colour there is and have stuck to blonde. But if you don't want to try blonde...go for an auburn red, that's my second favourite colour.

I would suggest a rich, warm brown and for some play add some highlights, but honey colored, not blonde. Red never looks natural with brown eyes, so stay away from that!

Eye shade has no longer something quite to do with it. I unquestionably have brown eyes & iv had brown hair, brown w/ pink & blonde severe-lites, black hair w/ pink severe-lites, and that they regarded sturdy. perhaps you may base it on your pores and skin tone, or purely play up the colour you have already got, like upload some severe-lites or something.

depends on what your skin color is. if it's fair i'd go for really blond highlights. if it's medium to dark choose a darker highlight...maybe a light golden brown.

ok...the thing is i found a universal color style for all hair types...depending if your a blonde blonde or a brunette...it doesn't matter...so what you can ask your colorist is to add a face frame highlight...and make the base really rich...or you can just ask for a vegital or gloss to shine those dull locks of yours...
