While swimming in deep water in the Gulf of Mexico a porpoise came up to me and tried to interact. We were physically touching. It was spiritual and I felt truly 110% alive at that moment.

Becoming aware that I AM. (A spiritual being)
And throwing away all the B.S. taught via my parents and my "education" that made me think I was the sum of what everyone else thought I was, or a product of my "environment" etc and all the various insidious "psychological" garbage that had been fed to me.
This awareness occurred during a 6 week trip to Israel where I spent time in many places including the Negev desert, the Dead Sea, Jerusalem, a kibbutz picking apples.... etc
I was 18. I came alive at that point . I am now 53 and my life continues to be filled with increasing awareness and "aliveness"
all stemming from that exact moment.

It was the day I had a spiritual awakening, 9/27/1986 that I dropped on my knees asking God to take away the pain that my drug using was causing on my family and my self. I was enlightened and HE showed me the path to a 12 Step Program. I been feeling most alive everyday for the last 20 years because of it.

Waking up in the morning surrounded by a good husband and many sweet children. THAT is a spiritual event that makes me feel alive. I just do not SEE it everyday. Today I do.
I have more but that is what comes to mind today

The day I was saved and baptized. I was 11 years old, and I can remember every word I said and every emotion I felt. It felt like a burden was lifted off my shoulders and a sense of the most wonderful peace entered into me!

The day I turned my life over to God. You can't know what a feeling it is to give all your troubles to God and let him take away the worries and hurts until you do.

When I told my mother that I wasn't going to church any more. It was like taking a load of bricks off my back.
