Is there a place on the website to contact them? Or a 1-800 number? If that doesn't work, what about the local high school? Ours has a tech program that builds houses. Or try the local hardware store. Put up fliers in the laundromats and grocery stores. It would be a shame to waste good Formica when somebody out there could use it. Good luck!

Have you thought about placing a local ad in the paper Free to Good Home, you pick up and haul and it is yours for the keeping... You can even try your local Salvation Army...they may have a family that needs newer counter tops, not too sure if they do that, but I do like the newspaper ad better...there is always someone out there looking for a freebie.

hi, we are in greensboro and I have had the same problem as you do now. I called around and finally found a local college that has shop classes. They were quite happy to have them so the students could "learn" on them. There are probably a few community colleges around or near durham that would be happy to off load them from you. Or if not them possibly a high school that has a shop class.

There's a Yahoo group called FreeCycle, where people offer random things to others in their area. See if there's a Freecycle community in your town/city, and post the countertops as an offer. Chances are, someone'll want them. :)

Try looking in your local yellow pages
Or put up a ad at your local grocery store, I'm sure someone would appreciate them.
A lot of work but you are to be commended for donating them instead of throwing them out

Check your local newspaper under the heading house re-modelers, etc; Maybe one of the contractors could use them in remodeling one of his projects.
