first of all I trust that once you put your faiht in God and ask him to help you with your problems,
he will come and be with you .... comforting and caring and loving ...
when christians pray for you they show their love for you - as their neighbour - as Jesus has asked all of us to love thy neighbour
I know prayer helps, even if you are not sure or you think it will not, there is really now downside to it when somebody prays for your happiness and health sincerely out of the goodness of their heart
God bless you

That is exactly right... exactly like when we say we are praying for the men and women in Iraq, we don't know them personally, but God hears and knows just the same. And the reason why we do this is because we do not want anyone to suffer through any hardships, and we know that while God may not always fix it, for His reasons, we know that His presence will make it easier to handle whatever you may be going through. God said to love everyone, not just the people you know. We are even supposed to love our enemies... which I do. I pray for them as well.

Because "Born Again" Christians have the Holy Spirit living in them, they have a direct line to God. God knows the person that we are praying for and when we pray for someone, we are giving God the authority to step into this situation since man has given Satan authority to be the god of this world. But not for long, Jesus is coming back soon and Satan will be bound for a thousand years during the reign of Christ. Then Satan will be let loose and God will triumph over Satan and all those who follow him and they will be cast into the lake of fire to be tormented forever and ever!

I say it and then ask God to pray for you, He doesn't need to know who you are, He already sees what you are going through, us praying is just our way of asking God for help (and thanking Him for what He does)

While it certainly helps to have more personal information for whom we are praying, we're confident that God is already aware, and already knows the person in need.
In any case, God is certainly capable of doing any necessary detective work, and matching up our prayers with the recipient.
When we all do whatever we're capable of doing, and couple that with enduring faith on both sides, miracles can and do happen.

You could probably say something like that. Assuming that God is omnipotent and knows all, he should know who the praying person is talking about. I would think so, anyway.

GOD knows ones needs and when another person prays for you a name is not necessary. as an example if you needed help and wanted me to pray for you I might say something like this " OH, LORD, THERE IS A LADY WHO IS IN NEED OF HELP. YOU ALWAYS KNOW WHAT WE NEED BEFORE WE ASK. WOULD YOU PLEASE SEND COMFORT, PEACE, JOY AND A FEELING OF HOPE SO SHE MAY NOT BECOME DISCOURAGED. WE KNOW WHEN YOU CLOSE A DOOR YOU OPEN A WINDOW. THANK YOU, DEAR LORD FOR HEARING THIS PRAYER AND PETITION ON HER BEHALF. AMEN."

That is exactly what I would do. I would pray something like that and probably add... I don't know the situation or the cirucumstace, but guide her, help her, comfort her, and your will be done.
