The other night my 5 year old said, "God, talks to me." He meant that when he prays he is talking with God, but it got my wheels turning about Mary and Joseph and what kind of things they might have done differently then other parents at the time.
It also got me thinking about whether or not, it would be a good or bad thing if the parents knew. I mean would knowing make the parents more protective and hence keep the kid from experiencing certain pains, similar to Buddha.

no. well yeah maybe. mean if he asked you to do something and you said no, and his response was if you don't let me i have father strike you with lighting. i might change that no to a yes

I'd raise them the same as if they were any other kid. They'd need to experiance a normal type life if they're going to help anyone.

yes i say no need to know the truth right away, let them know the hardships of life, love, failure. they do need to know that to understand the meaning of life.
