If there was a "Nazi" section, people would leave them be to discuss amongst themselves. Why are atheists always butting in where they're not wanted?
actually that's not true......there'd be PLENTY of people on there for or against. it's just human nature, that's the reality of the world, if you don't accept it, it'll stress you out and then you will have let them win. NEVER let anyone have that kind of power over you, chalk it up to their own opinion, no one says you have to agree with it, roll your eyes and let it go.

Why then are there questions directed at atheists if you don't want atheists on here? And if there was a Nazi section, you better believe I would be there doing whatever I could to be disrespectful toward them because I'm Jewish. Last time I looked, this was still a (barely) free country and you can't stop anyone from having an opinion and stating it freely.

atheists can answer questions on Religion & Spirituality most atheists are very informed on religion... they've studied and come to the conclussion that they do not believe that there is a god... many atheists were raised with strong religious backgrounds... so they are just as qualified if not more qualified than you may be... just because they dont believe the same as you, doesn't mean you're better than them...
on another note i do believe that atheists should not bash someone with religious beliefs just because they have them...
by the way, i am not an atheist, i just think if you are informed, and you're not going to be an idiot, i'm very open to hear you ideas...
so the question should be "Why do 'stupid people' think they can answer Religion & Spirituality questions?"

First of all, you're wrong about other sections. As a NASCAR fan, I find that a lot of people wander into Motor Sports to stereotype us and tell us racing's not a "real" sport.
Many atheists here are not trying to insult like that, but to debate and challenge.
Also, they may perhaps know the answer. Certainly one that specifically asks for opinions from everybody should get opinions from everybody...right?
Besides, I've found that as a Pagan, when I ask specifically Pagan questions, I get uninformed answers from Christians who want me to convert.

This has been asked and answered countless times. Atheists offer an opposing viewpoint, a chance for others to think about why they believe what they believe. Likewise, perhaps others can make Atheists think about what they believe, too.
One of the best ways to learn and grow in your thoughts is to spend time entertaining viewpoints that counter yours. Besides, Atheism is a part of spirituality, anyway.
It's kind of weird that so many ask this question, too, because Christians are supposed to treat others with love and respect.

I can answer that quite easily.... thanks to my father, whom died in 1989. Some atheists, such as my own dad, were raised in Christian homes. Most of what they answer are by memory.... mostly that of their own parents/grandparents' teachings.
My grandmother was a Christian woman, and NO ONE would tell her there was no God. She would quote the Bible until she knew her voice was heard.
So, I say, mostly by their own teachings. My dad didn't become atheist until one Christmas Eve when he heard Grandma crying. He listened in. He heard her tell Grandpa that she couldn't understand. They worked so hard, yet couldn't keep one penny to even buy a bag of candy for the kids.
Daddy said then that 'There must not be a God, because He wouldn't have let my mama cry." He just blamed the wrong Person.

Atheism is a religion unto itself in that it's a worship of man. Just like any religion, an atheist feels the need to defend it. Spirituality and philosophy have common origins so, while they may be diametrically opposed as far as belief in origins is concerned, the need to debate is part of building faith and learning.

I am an American and I believe that I carry The American Spirit and therefore am very qualified to state my observations on this site-like this one:
Will a Muslim shoot a Christian protecting Judism today & vica-versa? AREN'T the riddled bodies Holy Enough ?
Today a man created from the Love of two people will shoot=stab-kill-the fellow man created by the same Love in THE NAME OF GOD! To protect the interests of a history that follows a religious manuscript-that professes Gods Love for Gods CHOSEN CHILDREN-A man will die today for a principal of PREJUDICE-as one religion places its beliefs into a confrontation with another over the beliefs that were manifested in a doctrine that NEITHER CAN PROVE-so that one life will Praise God for the service one provided their creator for ridding this God of another of his own creations. PURE SHEER INSANITY-is what you have accepted because YOU were taught to accept God or BURN-Only what you practice is nothing less than the manifestation of HELL ON EARTH-because you refuse to consider the LOVE OF YOUR FELLOW HUMAN BEING based on this prejudiced doctrine-and will PRAISE YOUR GOD THIS DAY-knowing that a life is lost and the Love of TWO challenged-as ALL WE ALL really wanted was to be loved-SCREWyourGOD

Why shouldn't we? This isn't the "Christian Ego-Boost forum", this is about questions and answers. Besides, some Christians have proven themselves woefully ignorant about things like science and religions not their own.
BTW: Re: the "Nazi" comparison. The Nazis were about control, distortion, misinformation, and emotion over reason. A comparison between organized religion and the Nazis might be more accurate.

Everyone has a right to their own opinion. If you ask a question you expect an answer. If you look at all the different opinions, you can consider if you find that to truth to you or not. I don't think anyone here is trying to make you believe what they believe but they do answer the questions that you ask because you asked them.
