Because it is FUN.

A well-written stupid question can get some very creative answers. I've met some of my favorite 360 friends by asking stupid questions.

Your question isn't so stupid, despite the answers others have provided you. You have a long way to go. Miscategorizing your question just isn't enough.

Walk out your door and look around you. Do the people you see out there seem supremely intelligent humans. Mass humanity is dumb as boxes of rocks. How else do you explian the popularity of things like religion, Justin Timberlake, Bollywood flicks and soccer?
