Redneck could be fun. You could still dress up though if you wanted too. Or you don't have to have a theme. Just remember if you have the theme now as redneck and you decide not to use it make sure that your fiance agrees because he is probably pretty excited about it. My fiance would have loved that, he wanted a really small wedding with jsut our parents and siblings outdoor at a waterfall. Which is romantic, but I'm more outgoing and traditional.

The word "Redneck", to me anyway, brings about the images of the white trash comedy tour and pregnant Britney Spears. If I were you I would take a second thought on the the whole redneck wedding theme. The country theme could be cute, just have it on a relative's farm in the fall in a barn or just around some picnic tables at your local park, or in a cleared out section of a corn feild, with a maze (maize!) to get there and gold and ivory accent colors (oooo, that could be really cool!). Just be careful not to go to "country". It is a wedding after all and you and your guests will probably remember it for a long time (forever). Do you really want them to remember you as the "redneck wedding couple"?

I would go with any type of wedding you want. You don't need a theme. Just remember you want something that you'll look back on 20 years from now and still be happy about the wedding. Good luck

Have a country theme. Daisies and wildflowers on the tables. A simple not fancy wedding dress. Homemade decorations. A simple chocolate cake for the groom. And don't forget to tell people it is a pot luck reception, where everyone brings a cooked dish to share. Have it at a VFW or an American Legion Hall or even outside. A wedding doesn't have to cost a lot, it is a time to get friends and family together to wish the couple well on their marriage.

Just remember, this is your wedding, not a summer BBQ or a halloween party. You don't want to look back in 30 years (or even 5 years) and wonder "what on earth were we thinking" and be ashamed of your wedding photos.
As far as a theme, you don't need one. Throw a simple but elegant party and your guests will appreciate it.

You could choose a theme based on the season, like "New beginnings" for a January wedding, or "Thankful for each other" for one in November.
You could theme your wedding around an activity you and your fiance' enjoy together, like horseback riding or reading or fishing.
You could just pick out your favorite colors and design a theme around those, too.
My husband wanted to honor his family by wearing a kilt in his paternal grandmother's family tartan. His brother, the best man, wore a kilt in their paternal grandfather's family tartan. Their cousin, a groomsman, wore his paternal grandfather's tartan... so when people ask about my wedding colors, I say, "Hunter green and PLAID!"
We decorated with lots of white ribbons and flowers with some ivy and navy blue accents to complement the different plaids. It was beautiful, and memorable

Rather than 'red-neck' why not a country & western/cowoby theme?
In a barn, on a ranceh or farm; your attendants in red & white checked shirts with denim skirts with boots.
Have the tables decorated with red & white checked table cloths & mason jars with candles inside. I saw a farm/orchard wedding that had the 'aisle' lined with the jars & candles on shepard's hooks. Streamers were hung on the hooks as well along with streamers on the lower branches of the tree. Quite enchanting.

Do you need a theme? I've been to lots of weddings, and I've never seen a theme. They're all just weddings to me.

You could go with Asian, or colonial, or Southwest, or Indian, or traditional.
There are lots of themes to choose from. Just go with what fits your personality the best. I like the traditional, yet extravagant, church weddings. Beauty and elegance.
Good Luck!

I like this idea. Horses pulling you up to the area of the altar. All the men in suits and cowboy hats. Fancy boots. You can do regular wedding dress then at the reception change into all white cowboy boots, jeans, shirt and the cowboy hat white with crystal studs all around it. Boy do I see it ! It would be great ! Good luck and God bless your new life together.
