"FORT BRAGG, N.C. -- Federal agents detained 28 construction and landscaping employees Tuesday during a check for false identification at Fort Bragg, the post said.

"They found they had false or fraudulently obtained identification cards," said Tom McCollum, a spokesman for the 18th Airborne Corps. "None were U.S. citizens."

More than 224 people have been detained trying to enter Fort Bragg, a large Army base south of Raleigh, under false pretenses during the past year, McCollum said. "

Pancha, I agree that all the laws in the world do no good if they aren't enforced.

You know what Dar, I seriously thought our Military/ Gov. was on top of making sure the contractors that come onto our installations were LEGAL and on the up and up. Maybe I was wrong this whole time?? Too think if this goes on, who all is able to get on?? The installation I'm at runs guests/ (civilian) workers thru the local police system before being able to receive a pass. I just figured that they would run screens on everyone coming thru the gate.......wonder how many are actually able to slip thru.....?
And yes it is stupid trying to get on an army base with fake Id's, you would be surprised though at what I could tell you, not for public eyes though.......

BTW if it shows that the guest/ worker has a warrant they detain them and call the civilian police.

I actually think whats stupid is that ppl actually think something is going to be done about illegals when our own government won't even take the initiative to check legal status of prospective employees.Imagine how many more illegals are employed by our local ,state and federal governments.
I can also see all of those employees being replaced by a whole new set of illegals.Friggin ridiculous.

Seems the old adage may have been applied
"The most obvious is the least obvious" and
"Nobody knows you are doing wrong but you "

But is also seem to me to be a "kiss my azz,I will do as I want and you cant stop me" attitude too.

Smack...Do you know for sure they aren't,can you swear to that? Will you vouch for every illegal here in the US?
Will you stake your family's life on that assumption? What if you are wrong ?

Why would the illegals think our government would check them? They have been doing a p*ss poor job so far or we wouldn't have 12 to 20 million illegal criminals in our country!

We need to treat the illegals the way the IRS treats Americans...

I'm speechless. What on earth were they "All" thinking?
This is frighting---next time it could be the ones we never wanted to see- doing what they never should have had a chance to do.

Shouldn't they have checked before allowing them anywhere near our military base?

yeah... lets persecute the poor people working mowing the lawn trying to feed their family ... and if i as a citizen wanted to do damage on a military base whats to stop me? its not the fact that im so "for" somthing that is illegal ... its the fact that people try to demonize hardworking human beings trying to survive like they are the frikin antichrist, burning their homes down and sabotaging militay installations .... and for what? for what gain? nothing.

Ummm...you'd have to be a moron to try and work illegally in a government building. One more reason why we DON'T need them.
