but at the same time be such racist. It's seen in these pages all the time. If you read some of the question, and answer of the ultra right wingers on here, you have to ask yourself, "What is this person major malfunction?". Why do they hate their fellow Americans so much, because they are of a different affiliation, religion, race then they are?

I don't like reading Liberals "Bush Bashing" either, but they're not the ones using God in their political rhetoric.

There is no way that you can be God fearing, and use him to hide behind.

Jesus washed his Apostles feet to teach them about humility. I really doubt that some so-called Christian Conservatives would wash the feet of some poor black or hispanic person. I guess the story about the poor begger knocking on the rich mans door who was waiting for Jesus to show up was the day they happened to miss Sunday school...

Dearest Adam, I too, am Catholic. I was an altar boy for 4 years. Went to Private Catholics schools till my hard working parents could'nt afford it any longer. I've gone on many "peaceful" anti-abortion demostrations, but the truth is that many Conservatives use our religion as a shield. I live in Louisiana. I've seen it first hand. When David Duke was running for office, the same people I saw at mass, would not vote for black man, just because he was black, not because of his political affiliation...

Thanks for saying "SOME." I'm glad you recognize these hypocrites do not accurately represent ALL Christian Conservatives.

I feel there are two reasons prejudice will always be with us in one form or another.

Feeling superior.
This was said to me (by someone who never could hold down a job or make ends meet) when I asked if he could afford the rent where he was moving.
"What do you think? I'm not like those muchachos from the other side of the tracks who doesn't even TRY to pay their bills!"
translation; I may be a loser but I'm not as a big of a loser as THOSE people!

Shortcut
I takes a while to know who is honest & who isn't, who is a hard worker & who isn't, etc.
Prejudice allows people to think they can look at someone & have a short cut to knowing those important things.

People are not immune to these tendencies just because they go to a particular church or belong to a particular party or are a particular race. These tendensies are universal.

========

I don't get your reference to Pro-Life.
Are you saying it's hypocritical to be a Christian & be pro-life? Or are you saying it's hypocritical to be a racilst & be pro-life?

Neither assumption is accurate. While I oppose those who feel superiour to another human just because of skin color, that is a far cry from killing babies. And that is exactly what the Pro-Life feel about abortion.

nicely, enable's see if we can dissect the adjustments in those eventualities. An unborn toddler has harmed no person and is with the help of definition harmless. he's punctiliously on the mercy and benevolence of this mom. A criminal who gets the dying penalty. you might have executed something so horrendous to get the dying penalty. in accordance to Zacharia Mussoui's jury, killing 3000 human beings would not even warrant the dying penalty. And a terrorist. who's sol purpose is to kill human beings and inflict horror upon the inhabitants till they do what the terrorist needs. Now that we've categorised issues slightly enable's delve deeper into the semantics. we can in all probability all agree that the unborn will kill no person (till there's a difficulty wherein case he could, the mummy). To get the dying penalty you fairly lots could be a terrible serial kill or have based a ridiculously great gang, and a terrorist...is a terrorist. The serial killer, gang founder, or terrorist is going to be responsible for lots greater deaths than the only dying it would take to dying penalty them. So in case you save greater lives with the help of extinguishing one, isn't that for the period of actuality professional existence?
