The Uk IKEA stores are very similar indeed.
Alternatives could be Habitat, Argos, MFI.

Don't have a store, but for online shopping I would recommend Kontenta, much higher quality than Ikea.

ILVA has just opened up over here - there is one in lakeside shopping centre thurrock. Have a look there - also have you considered Habitat its quiet reasonably priced.

Try the pound shop in any town, I cant tell the difference in the quality of any item they sell.
