Jesus is alive, and he is our intercessor.
If He was physically walking on this Earth He would still be a carpenter. His work would be the most beautiful and innovative we have ever seen. He would not be in it for the money, although royalty would be after Him to build for them. He would rather be downtown working on the homeless shelter or some place like that.

What's the point of asking a question that no one can answer ?You could ask what occupation Attila, or Ghengis Kahn, or Little Boy Blue would choose if they were here and alive today.
Whatever anyone answered couldn't be proven one way or the other. So what's the point of asking ?

All opinions and viewpoints welcome? As a friend of His, I would say that He's still alive and He's the judge of both the living and the dead. He's waiting for the day when I'll come back as such and set up His kingdom on earth. He's also an intercessor, which means He prays for those who follow Him. He pleads their case, so to speak. He's also God. As such He knows and judges the heart--motives and thoughts, not mere outward actions. You can't fake this guy into thinking you're righteous. But He loves you. To be fully known and yet fully loved, isn't that what we all long for? Add to that that the One who loves you thus has the power to forgive your sins, cancel your debt, and empower you to live righteously--not by following rules and laws, but by His Spirit. That's what Christians are referring to when they talk about having Jesus "in your heart."

The first time He came meek and humble and laid down His life in our place, though we hated Him and rejected Him. He didn't wait for us to "get it right" or "come to our senses" before dying for us, taking what we deserved. (He didn't stay dead, by the way. He defeated death and is your only hope for eternal life. Who else has conquered the grave?) The next time He will have justice burning in His heart. This is not sweet lamb-petting Jesus.

This is the Jesus who describes Himself at His return this way: "But bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me.’” (Jesus' own words in a parable He told of His return. Luke 19:27)

PS--This is a King and Judge whose judgments you can trust. He has proved His meekness, humility, and dedication. He still desires to show mercy. He still waits patiently, but He's not waiting forever...

He answers all who call on His Name.

He'd be a homeless guy with followers. I picture him like Forrest Gump running across the country with people chasing behind him for no apparent reason other than it's something to do.

He would still be a carpenter. If you asked him to build you a house, he would probably make you a dog house. Jesus always follows the proper symbolism.
