I am a widow with 2 kids - one is ready for high school next year. He's a bright kid with good grades, plays Lacrosse, Football, but no music skills; art skills mostly limited to history. He is a major historian but loves the new challenge of war on terror and cannot wait to see how this war ends. I make $38,000 per year and cannot afford to send him. Any hints on financial aid or words to wow the administration?

This is one of the most famous schools in the world. They get a LOT of applications, and they have a lot of kids who are legacies - their families have sent their kids their for several generations.

If you want to break into this In Crowd you need to be really special - just playing Lacrosse or having good grades is not enough. You need to convince the administration there that this kid is so much better than other kids that they should turn down 100 other kids that want that spot and are willing to pay for it, and instead give your kid the spot.

What have you got that you can use to convince them? It better be good.
