Yes, if the girl paid for those things she has every right to get them back. But not every guy is willing to give things back once a relationship ends so the girl might want to take a long a friend or a relative just in case if she decides to go over there to get them.

If these things belong to you, then you have every right to get your things. But if it is going to be a bit awkward then taking someone with you for moral support is always agood thing as long as it doesnt antagonise the situation. If the break up was mutual then it should be easier to just go get your things. I had a similar problem with a flatmate, I just had to bite the bullet and go get my things but it is hard and you need to be strong and adamant at what you want...maybe take a list of things but always make sure the person is in the house at the time and know's what you are taking. I know this isnt personal to you but its better explained to you as if it is.

The same way you pack your clothes is the same way you pack your computer, stereo, and spatula. It seems obvious to me if it's mine... it goes with me! The only reason I might consider leaving something is if i bought it during the midst of the relationship for us to use together, then it would depend on who would be better served by keeping it. But, if it came in the door with me, it leaves when I leave!

It depends why they broke up. If theres so much confusion I would take someone w/me, like the police department. Or call 1st to see if the person can get their items back, if not let it go.

If it was just a ladle and a spatula I wouldn't bother but otherwise I would be going to get my electronics. No need for you to lose your stuff because you guys broke up.

yes you should get your stuff back dont let the guy have anything...if he wont let you go to his house and get your stuff you can ask for a police escort. then he will have no choice but to let you in and get your things
