Please try your local shelter, there are tons of homeless and lonely pets whose owners could no longer care for them and they need alot of love. Also the animal will be cheaper as well as up to date on shots and usually fixed. Good luck finding a fur baby!!!

Don't you ever buy a pet, there are an overpopulation of pets, mainly cats and dogs, go to the city shelter, it's not a shelter!!!! it's a slaughter house for unwanted cats and dogs, there is a long list of pets waiting for adoption, and if they are not adopted, they will be killed, if you buy a pet you are making this problem worse, go to the "shelter" they have a lot of different breeds and types of pets I'm positive you will find what you are looking for and you will feel very proud of yourself.

Visit your local shelter or animal rescue, or check with your local PetSmart to see when they will be doing pet adoptions next. Shelters and rescues bring animals available for adoption to the store on certain days, and they start the adoption process right there.

Local shelters have lots of wonderful dogs needing homes. You pay a low fee and get a dog that has been spayed/neutered, has had all shots and is in need of a loving home. If you want a purebred, check with breeders in your area. Ask your vet for references. Whatever you do, do not buy a dog from a pet store.

Please don't buy If you can help it!
Check your local animal shelter, make sure It's the kind where they put animals to sleep.
That way, you'll be saving an animal's life!
It's also cheap, and you usually only have to pay a very small adoption fee.
So please,
Save the life of an innocent animal.
Choose adoption.
Thanks a MILLION for your intrest in andoptiong an animal.

petfinder.com that is where I found my dog. He is wonderful, we have had him for about a month now. Most of the pets on that site are fostered in homes so they are started on being potty trained and such. There are also animal shelter pets there. It is the only way to go! You will be saving an innocent animal.

your local pet stores like petsmart or petco should have pets availible to adopt from your local humane society or you can just adopt directly from your local humane socitety or the pound . you could also look in your local newspaper they normally have classified ads that have breeders in your area. it depends on the pet your trying to buy or adopt.

With reference to purchasing I would advice pet shops or a local breeder for the type of dog you may be looking at. But you can go to your local humane socieity or check petfinder.com to adopt - both places may require a small fee to ensure you do bring the pet back for shots or prepare for certain things.

The local shelter. They'll charge for shots and neutering or spaying, but you'll save a dog's life and have a friend for a long time.
