Vegetable oil or not, the simple truth of the matter is that oils - and yes, this means *all* of 'em - contain fats. This is true for vegetable oil, canola oil, peanut oil...you get the picture.
Frying your food in oil also means you're using a breading of some sort - which is high in starches and can also increase your cholesterol count. If you must fry, pan-fry. Sear your meat lightly in the pan, and learn to enjoy using spices instead of breading (Cajun cooking is a great substitute for fried foods in my opinion!).

Sir or Madam:
In lowering cholesterol what you seek is to eliminate all sources of fatty intake. All fried foods have absorbed some amount of oils and fats. In steaming, baking, microwave cooking or boiling you do not utilize "ADDED" fats/oils. Hence the beneficial result of cooking that way. Learning to adjust to the absence of fried foods is the trick to good health.
You must learn to do it.
Cheers,
Zah

fried foods have a lot of fat in them. Also vegetable oil is not a good oil if you are going to fry. Try olive oil or the pam spray. that is better. Baking is good also. go to the link below. The article may be helpful to you.

When you fry the foods, some of the vegetable oil is retained in the food. Then, when you eat it, it's retained in you. That's not as healthy as if you were you boil your food. In boiling your food, the only thing retained in the food after cooking is water.

Boiling adds water, frying adds oil/fat. Coconut oil is the healthiest if you want to fry food.
