Actually, this is a pretty good question.
Night flying moths circle a flame or light. Why? because they navigate by the moon.
A moth will start out flying in a straight line. It takes an angle on the moon and continues to fly along in more or less a straight line keeping the moon at the same angle. Of course it can't fly TO the moon, which is in the vacuum of space and 250,000 miles away!
So, imagine you are a moth and you see a light. You think it's the moon so you start flying along trying to keep the moon on your left side.... but as you fly the angle changes. You keep having to veer off to the left to keep the angle of the light the same.... you might not notice, but you are circling in to the light.... after a while you fly right into the candle flame because you kept turning and turning and spiralled right in!

Not deffinitly. Moths are blind as far as I know and the moon is not a source of light nor warmth. They are attracted to light yes, but not strong light, and the light reflected off the moon into the Earth's atmosphere is not very strong nor bright. If anything, we wouldn't have moths at all!

I say no, because the moon would still shine down on water all over the earth, making reflections that would be easier for them to get to.
The planet is never truly dark y'know.

I turned off my porch light when there were a million of them flying around and they attacked me! So no, they would revolt and would try to take over the world!

they would have trouble making it through the atmosphere and the lifespan of a moth would be over before it could even get close

unfortuately they wouldnt get there..their wings would probably turn to dust..I have a fear of moths,so it would be great if they all flew to the moon and never came back.

They don't have the required visas or a flight plan and besides how would they fly in a vacuum even in their tiny spacesuits?

well they might give it a try but they would never make it, the air would become to thin to support their weight, ie, would not be able to fly any higher
