Oh, I thought we had outgrown this disclaimer. Guess not...

If you disagree please state why and back up your claims with logic, preferably not circular. Thank you.

Oldguy: Finally, a good argument to crush. Delusion arrises from blind faith, those who do not have blind faith are aware. However,as you pointed out, those that so not examine the evidence at hand are deluded, and do not know it. So, therefore, there is indeed a distinct difference.

I think what is said “When we're deluded there's a world to escape. When we're aware, there's nothing to escape” is correct. See, when we blindly trust something, say religious superstions, we forget all the logic and the truth, we become narrow headed. But if we open our eyes and see whats around and seek the right knowledge, there's nothing that could remain hidden from us.

Mindfulness is the aware, balanced acceptance of the present experience.
It isn't more complicated that that.
It is opening to or recieving the present moment, pleasant or unpleasant, just as it is,
without either clinging to it or rejecting it.

Obviously it's true. Materialism is an illusion and gaining knowledge of divine truth is the means of breaking the chains which bind us to that illusion.

Yes I agree. Delusion is a state of denial, where reality can simply be ignored.

It certainly explains why the religious don't want to give up their delusions of "god". They're scared of their own shadow yet they pretend they can outrun it.

Sometimes reality sucks, but ignoring it won't make it go away.

Doesn't work because when you are deluded you don't know it and so you will think you are aware and when you are aware how do you know that you are not deluded.
