Sunday School -
He died to save me from my sins those which I know of and those I don't.
Personal -
He saved me from myself. He gave me hope when he humbled me to the point of grief so I would call out to him and know that he is there no matter what, no matter the cost. He gave me a foundation with which I cannot do without because I'd crumble. He took everything that I would withhold and made me lift my head and be able to walk without shame of my past.

He was executed by the Romans for stirring up discontent among the occupied people of Judea. He didn't choose the cross, it just happened to be how the Romans carried out the death penalty. So what did he do for me? I wasn't going to exist for another two thousand years. He could not have known anything about me. So he did nothing.

He died because he got caught in the groundswell caused by his own teachings & the backlash of the establishment that he threatened.
Got to ask the question.. Why would a supreme being allow his "son" to be horribly murdered to pay for the evil ways of an insignificant species such as mankind,
Seems like the long way to go.

...He was mocked, beaten, scourged (whipped) and crucified (an incredibly painful method of execution perfected by Rome). It was no mistake - it was part of God's plan of salvation.
...He took my place on the cross, suffered instead of me on the cross, He died to pay the penalty for my sins, and for all those who would believe on Him. Jesus paid it all; all to Him I owe.

Revelation 22:17 - The Spirit and the bride say, "Come " And let the one who hears say, "Come " And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.

He made it possible for my sins to be forgiven once and for all if after I repent of those sins, I don't perform them anymore. When He died, it became possible to get this forgiveness without animal sacrifice or going to a "priest' to get "absolution".

He was supposedly to suffer and to die forthe sins of the world, mainly the Jews whom God chose.
Whatever it was, he knew the pain and suffering coming most of his adult life so I guess he kinda cool dud to accept his destiny. Must have been really extreme maximum pain before he died.
Whatever your belief, let be. BTW, I am non-C too.
