If so, what is it about her that annoys the bleep out of you?

I don't mind her $40 a day show, but her talk show is loud and obnoxious TO ME. I was just asking to guage to see if all her shows are embraced. Just an unscientific poll to see how many people feel the same about watching her talk loud for a half an hour. To the person telling me to stop hating and change the channel.. DUH! Thank you for telling me how to get her off my set. And who said I hate her? I just said she annoys me.
Why don't you take your own advice, hypocrite, and if you don't like my question then don't answer it. I thought a loud cook was annoying, but I think a hypocrite is WAY more annoying.
ps never accuse people of "hate". There is a big difference between being annoyed by some one and hating them. Maybe not to you, but to most civil people.

Dear Bear, I appreciate your honesty. Thank you for being woman enough to admit that you read me wrong, and I'll admit that I really didn't mean to sound hateful toward Rachel, just that watching her was not easy for me to stand. No hard feelings, and I really am not looking to be mad at Rachel, it just shocked me that I got such a severe response.it was just a question to see if she's going to annoy people till she's canceled or if people are embracing her. It looks like it's a toss up.

The "most hateful" prize goes to "Lili". Read her response pls; you'd think she would NEVER rail on someone from TV that SHE doesn't know. Right? Now search this question:
Q: "how do i get ink pen out of clothes...like jeans and cotton?"
And see Ms. perfect rail on the poor guy on the Oxyclean infomercials, calling him a "lunatic". She should be ashamed of her double standards. She thinks she can pretend to be such a humanitarian, but she dishes it out when she thinks no one will find out. Ha!

Hey MD2B - It's all cool!
This is suppose to spawn discussion right?
By the way - I did just happen to catch the RR talk Show - and changed the channel after a few minutes - not that she's bad, just that there are better things to watch!
take Care!

Based on what I have heard and read, she annoys a lot of people. Her gravelly voice and manic personality are a bit much to take. Can you imagine what it would be like to work with someone like her and have to listen to that all day? What I do not understand, however, is why the people that find her annoying don't just exercise their option to turn off the television or change the channel to someone a little more placid, like Martha Stewart. I guess some people just like to complain. Whatever the reason, she does seem to really get under some people's skin.

she def gets on my last nerve.
she laughs at her own "jokes"
"evoo" "yummO!" UGH.
she has fried looking hair and pants that go up to her armpits. if she's so successful why not get a good stylist and some deep conditioning treatments?!
when she had her show w/the "celebrities" she'd get obviously wasted and make a fool of herself...which was actually the most entertaining i've seen her.
she makes really simple dishes and acts like she is a flippin culinary genius.
and all the people getting all butthurt and defensive...you don't even know this person, it's the internet, LIGHTEN up.!

It would be easier to name the things that do not irritate me about her. Her voice is horse from screaming at her crew all day, I have first hand knowledge of this. She rambles on about stories no one not even someone with no life could possibly care about. When she had the show interviewing stars, she never let them get a word in edgewise, did she really think people were watching that show to see her? The recipes she claims to have invented can be found in different cookbooks, I think this is called plagiarism. She acts like she and she alone is responsible for Food TV's success when in fact Emeril was the first star of the Food Network. She reminds me of a stoner that has a TV show pure and simple, like a Waynes World for cooking, and those are the good things I can think of to say about her.

She is o.k.except for the fact that they took Joe Brown off the T;V. and put her there.I liked him and thought he was a verry good judge on small claimes court.Maybe he is still on at an other time and channel.I will look for him.I like to watch all those judges, but judge Judy is mean some times and makes up her own rules.Signed,Free Little Lillie

Hi.....yes she drives me crazy but I am about to turn on her talk show which is just coming on. It's the way she wails her arms, says evoo all the time and then right after tells you what it means (fans know Rachael, they don't need to be told all the time) and when she drops a lemon or onion and says "lemon overboard teeheeheehee) drives me nuts. And doesn't anyone else notice anything slightly creepy looking about her husband?

I have this love/hate thing with her. What annoys me is her Rachael-isms, like "How good does that look?" and "Yum-O" and the constant "EVOO". What I do appreciate about her is that she's never had formal training to be a chef. Neither have I, but I at least had my own restaurant, and never made as much money as she's making!

She's very pretty and sweet, but always has the same smile-and-eye-roll when she takes a bite of ~anything~. It could be fried sewage and she would give that look.

I saw somewhere that she spits some of it out sometimes cause it's really gross but she is contractually obligated to say all the food she tries is good. It's really faky.

I caught her talk show and definitely think she should stick to non-interactive TV.

I find Rachel endearing in a 'cracked-out-ferret' sort of way; she's terribly amusing. However, I can understand why others would be turned off by her. She's a bit spastic and her palate isn't anything special--she never makes a distinction between flavors and textures and is universally approving of *everything*. That renders her 'professional opinion' moot, to me.

YUMMO!

Everything about Rachel Ray annoys me but I find myself watching her everyday....one day I would just like to find her speaking in her "inside voice" and in a shirt that isn't tucked into her socks.....Rachel Ray with her hot dog bean casseroles with parmesan cheese is not what got her on FoodTv its her personality....I can deal with everything but her Talk show on daytime....she literally screams at the audience....

WHAT? How could you possibly be annoyed with Rachel Ray???? I, personally, think she is so cute. I guess that cuteness could annoy some people, but to me its what makes her so interesting. She really makes cooking fun. I've gotten people who know nothing about cooking watch her show, 30 minute meals, and have actually learned a thing or two and can now do more than just boil water.
