i normally fold a 16" long tubesock around the clothesline & not pin it . holds well. wonder what windspeed i should consider pinnig them 2 the line?

You could also twist two clotheslines together and insert end of the tube socks between the two lines. Works well in really windy locations with no clothespins.
Saw it used in Europe.

Well if they start blowing away you'll know. Bring a big fan outside and find out. Should be as entertaining as your question!

i use my clothes pins to keep the chip bag closed :)
