The government gives you laws to follow. So does God. The Gov. says it will punish you if you break these laws. So does God. The Gov. gives you a place to live in peace if you do as they say. So does God. If go against the law the Gov. gives you a public defender to plead your case. So does God(Jesus). The Gov. gives you the right to be anyone or anything you choose to be(Within the boundaries of the law). So does God. If it is so easy to follow the rules of our Gov. then why not take it one step further and follow the rules of God. After all in the end the only thing the Gov. can promise you is higher taxes. God can give you eternal life. Which do you think is better? You might say yes but the PEOPLE choose the Gov. Well guess what? You also have the right to choose God as well. What do you think? (God and the Gov. also give you that choice as well.) Peace.

Amen !! God bless you!! God's laws were here first! The Government does not love you, but God does!! The Govenment makes you sacrifice your hard earned wages so they can get richer and richer. God sacrificed His son Jesus and paid our wages of sin so we can live eternally with Him in heaven. You choose which one you would wrather trust and follow.

The government doesn't promise you salvation if you realize that you are unable to uphold the law 100% of the time and would like to be forgiven for where you fail.

Also, God doesn't give you a public defender. He provides a divine intercessor. There is a big difference. Jesus doesn't plead your case within the bounds of the law. He pleads it based on the mercy granted by his having paid the price for your sin.

God doesn't give people the right to be anyone or anything they choose. God has a purpose for your life--which you find only if you give your life back to him.

In other words, following God is not a "step further" than following the government. It is an entirely different thing...completely.

There's only a few things wrong with this.

1. The Government exists. God? No one is sure.

2. The Government's laws are mostly fair, and when they are not, we have the right to protest and ask our senators to pass legislation to change them. God's "laws?" Not so. If we do not think a law is fair (such as the law against homosexuality) we cannot ask your god to change it, we are simply thrown in hell.

3. The Government gives us all equal rights as people. God? Not really. Women are lesser than men, homosexuals are "sinners," and people of different religions are left out completely.

are you very sure that god has given all the rules?? are you damn sure that if you break the rules, god will punish you?
you say all this by hearsay... but do you have any proof that god does this and that?
god is powerful and merciful. the so called rules were not set by him... rather, it was set by us for a better way of living and not as barbarians.
you say that god will punish you if you wrong.
has god said that to you or are you following the thought because everyone says so?
think well, you will understand that god has given us this world to enjoy.
to the best of our knowledge, we need to be good and kind. beyond that, it is god's wish.
and always remember.... god and bad is from the view point of the viewer.. what appears good to you may appear bad to others and what appears good to them may appear bad to you.
so dont worry about the god being government and all.
believe in god and go on with your work.
god will take care of everything.

There is indeed a government in the spirit world.
The God we don't understand in the Book, is the ELOHIM. The
Powers and Principlities. The WE in the Quran.
This is a paradox. In a sense, they DO Gods will, because our
Creator LET'S them be in power. But they DON'T DO God's will, in that our Creator gives orders for everything.
They make decisions and take actions on thier own sometimes. It is said our Creator will punish the Hosts of Heaven. Because not everything they have laid on humanity has benefitted us.
We will be JUDGED! And judgement doesn't always mean
punishment.
The TRUE message is that our Creator doesn't "pass the buck".
God knows what we have to deal with, and has provided a way
out. But we have to accept it.
Our Creator doesn't make anyone go to hell. But He doesn't
make anyone go to heaven either.

No God is our heavenly Father and he gives consequences for not obeying his laws. Just like a parent gives consequences for disobedience.
