Why not just establish a shelter home to protect all the widow instead of marrying them. If he establish a shelter home more widow can be protect from the militant at that time. Compre to only 16 by marrying them

Muhammad (P) died while having 9 wives. reasons could be for protection, to gather trips together (enemies become friends), to give example (yes u can marry a widow, divorce, relative, an enemy, christian , jewish...), the youngest one was Ayisha who was more as a student than a wife. after Muhammad death, she recorded 25% of his words and teaching, she carried his message to the next generation. Muhammad was a shy man, he couldn't answer all the questions regarding women so he used to give it to Ayisha. other wives were to take care of him as he married many old women.
2nd. islam is about balancing the society, if the number of men are declining, and women are increasing due to the war and other issues, society will be corrupt. sex is forbidean outside of marriage. by leaving too many single women alone in the society, men will go around them. and at the end, it's up to the woman to say Yes or No about getting married.
3. the main reason we have believed in Islam is because we worship one universal God. nothing like Him or comparable to Him. Sollomon and David and others had many women and that did not stop them from being a prophet.

First of all, Muhammad (PBUH) did NOT have 16 wives, please get your facts str8. Secondly, he married these women because they were either widows or orphans and were being ridiculed by the people around them. He wanted to give them shelter and respect and he wanted pple around him to respect these women also and not look at them as sex objects. He wanted to give them a home. He made his money through trading. He treated his wives fairly which is very hard to do in today's world even if you only have one wife. He never cheated on his wives. He did not have all these wives at the same timel.
