Aren't they all wrong? Be temperate in all things?

Because for some reason or other man decided to invent what I call a Sin Scale. Whereas all these things are bad but some are even worse so even though you're doing this because you're not doing that then somehow you'll be OK and God will forgive you but man, these others are going to hell.
I disagree. Sin is Sin is SIn. From the smallest little white lie to murder. It's all sin in God's eyes. And while you may have to pay the consequences of your sins here on earth, God will forgive you for them in the after life if you have asked him to.

My church does. Just as emphatically as alcohol abuse, my pastor talks about the sin of greed and gluttony. Be careful when you say "churches." Don't pick one bad apple out of the group and throw the whole bushel away.

Good question--gluttony is just as bad as alcohol abuse, as seen in the book of Proverbs:
"if you be a man given to appetite, put a knife to your throat", etc.
It is hypocrytical to preach against any of these if you aren't abstaining from all of them.

Yes indeed they are all wrong. Gluttony seems to be the vice du jour for Christians.

yes, it is hypocritical; they conform religion to what is ever convenient for them.

2Ti 4:3
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2Ti 4:4
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Yep, they are wrong. If you're going to preach against sin, then include them all!
