do people get so catty when rejected? Like over the weekend this guy asked me out to dinner, I wasnt really attracted to him so I declined him as politely as I could - not in the teensiest bit bitchy about it.
I now just heard that he's gone around saying that HE wouldnt be bothered with me coz Im the biggest **** going!
Like hello?? Why cant people just take rejection gracefully?
And for the record - I most definately am NOT a **** and I certainly never gave it up to him of all people!!

You seem so sweet I can understand why he wanted to know you better. You have every right to say no. Some guys are real jerks. Sometimes gals are also. You are so very right. Only give yourself to someone deserving sweetheart. A real man should have given you roses and a card. Why rush love, nurture it, it'll blossom eventually.

Take it like a pinch of salt love.

Obviously, he really liked you and your knock back hurt him. Deep down, he probably wants you even more as you acted in a graceful mannor towards him and he just acted like an immature skool tw*t! It should make you feel good about yourself, you were the better person. HE is the one with the problem honey, dont AND I MEAN DO NOT get angry or even waste anymore time over the *****er!!

gudluck for the soul search i take it your on!! **)

Ego. A guy sets his sites, he initiates contact, he has high expectations, he gets shot down. He was just rejected by someone he likes, someone for whom he made an effort. How could he not take it personally? That does not excuse the childish behaviour afterward. That's just his was of re-inflating his ego.

People do that to make themselves feel better. You know the truth and thats what matters. I know that it sucks that he is telling everyone what is not true, but that just shows you what type of guy he is. People that do that, have nothing else going for them, so they try to make themselves look better by bringing you down. Just don't worry bout him or show that it bothers you. That is exactly what he's trying to get from you.

I know what you mean...
I hate that too. Maybe this happens cause he is not smart enough to understand that rejection is smth that happens and he has to accept that. If he reacted that bad this means that he was not worth going out with and he doesn't respect you. So don't bother that much thinking and finding out "why". He was a jerk and that's it!!!

i think no matter what we do people will always face rejection in that kind of way and if they do you are better off with out them hun. Let him get on with slagging you off ignor it because people are going to find out the truth about him and who will look the idiot. Not you cos you didnt let him get to you. He is a loser and your worth more then that

Men are addicted to the word yes and allergic to the word no. Some men think that they are womens greatest gift and if rejected their pride is slammed into the ground.

Because he's embarrassed at being turned down. He's obviously immature and insecure. I'd be annoyed and pissed off if someone did this to me too, especially as you were so nice about it. Dont let him cost you another thought - he's a tosser and you were lucky to have rejected him!
