There are many places that will do it free or at a low cost. The ASPCA does it free if you are on public assistance, receive food stamps, medicaid, cash assistance or they ask for a $25 dollar donation at one of their mobile clinic events where they go around in different neighborhoods. There are several websites that you can also purchase discounted rate coupons and then take them to the participating vets in your area. This also depends on where you live. You should do an internet search for these types of programs in your local area so that you can get the full details because there are several non-profit type organizations that offer these deep discounts. It varies. I'd suggest calling multiple animal clinics and getting prices on how much it would cost. The cost to neuter males are normally cheaper than spaying females. The price range can be anywhere from $25 to $200+. I just got my kitten neutered today at a local low cost animal clinic that has performed many procedures for the community for only $25. Good luck.

Around here for a cat $65 neuter, about $90 or something for spay. Spay is a lot harder and serious of an operation than neutering and it takes longer, that is why it cost more.

I had my cat neutered for $35 i took him too a low cost spay and neutered place here in my town!!!

Here in chicago I took my cat to be spayed at 2.5 pounds=9weeks and paid $65 for shots and her spay

always depends where you go to get it done cuz some shelters have neutering/spaying programs that do it for a cheeper price, my vet was round 160$

neutering a male is cheaper, the range would be 50$-100, depending on the shots that may be required
