No her Sister Sue sells seashells by the seashore. The reason you haven't seen Sally selling is because she fell asleep on the shore at high tide and got swept away.

Is Sally her name? "She sells sea shells by the sea shore." There is no proper name given, yet we know it is a female. I have found many girls who have sold sea shells by the sea shore, often glazed, usually in a basket, occasionaly strung together by string, as if to tie around one's neck. Some shells are big, some shells are small. But yes, I do she little girls selling sea shells by the sea shore, and I enjoy their happy faces. Now the question is, what is the name of the girl who sells sea shells by the sea shore?

She does, but you have to find the right sea shore.
Sometimes she takes the day off to help Peter Piper pick his pickled peppers though, so maybe you're looking for her when she is doing that- check behind that rugged rock, too, maybe the rugged rascal who ran round the rugged rock stole her sign that said she would be back when the mouse ran down the clock.
