like they just don't know who they are? I've just started college and a serious relationship. I feel like I have no idea what I want to do with my life..what's right and wrong. I feel as if all my friends have disapointed me and more and more it feels like my guy is my best friend...but I feel strongly pulled to obey my parents...what am I supposed to do now?

look.. i think what u r passing thru is just a phase... even i'm kinda going thru a situation similar to u since iits my 1st year of college also... friends part n u hav to come in terms wid an entire new world.. this happens.. so first of all dont panic n try to calm down...
as far as bf goes, i would always suggest to obey ur parents... since u feel that ur bf is at dis point, ur best friend.. if u r comfortable then y dont u let him b a close friend instead of getting into a relationship, something that ur parents might not approve of...
on the other hand, if u really wanna continue wid him, then come forward n tell ur parents bout it... what i think is dont hurry up so much.. giv urself time to adjust... n dont enter into relationships so soon... see for some time, atleast whether he remains ur best friend for a greater period or not....
right now, i think u shld try to focus on ur life n career... i know friends r very much needed, somebody to love n care... but try to manage things n not to get frustrated... believe me, its just a phase n it wil pass thru... but yeah, u will need to b patient.. best of luck n dont worry.. things will get alright...

You are in your mid/latter teens...right? The last few sentences, you have given like the friends unreliable, parents not understanding etc, have their roots from the existing relationship you have.True, the parents are always parents and their duty is always to guide you from pitfalls but sometimes you will feel that they are not understanding you because your mind is set on doing something against their wishes.If all your friends have disappointed you, it is your fault and not theirs. You haven't selected the right friends.Now the guy is everything for you and his words are like quotes from the bible as far as you are concerned. Since you said your other friends have depressed you,it can also happen here in this relationship.
I understand fully well your confusions but let me tell you that you are depressed & isolated because you are a little negative in your outlook . Start thinking positively- you are not a baby anymore, think as an adult than a crying child and go ahead with exuberance and confidence.

You are still young, you still have time to figure this out. I graduated from college 2 years ago picked a major I wasnt sure about, had friends that all they did was partied, and was so lost in myself. This is completing normal! All I can tell you is to have fun in life. Try not to figure yourself out because within time it will all come together.
You have to understand that within time we all change, not all at once but little by little. Inside you are still the same person but we become different things and friends begin to change. We have break ups and make ups, we travel and find new people who infulence our lives. Try not to think so hard right now, just live life and fun with it!!

you are just going through a growing up phrase of life.
it's normal.
It is also the perfect opportunity to do some self-search. Get some self-help books. Understand and discover yourself. You never know, you can achieve wonders as long as you set your mind straight. Best of luck
