Noah had a full operational fresh water fish tank with oxygen and water circulate system enabled , water temperature was control ed and weekly feeding with fakes and chicken liver to keep the colors not changing to indoor situations. God could have used his almighty power to accomplish this, but it really is not hard to see how fresh water fish could survive in a salt water ocean.

Even now there are fresh water springs under the ocean. All God would have needed to do was to ensure the circulation of waters was such that pockets of fresh water were located where that species of fish could survive. He has the power to do that and so much more the small human brain cannot comprehend!

that's an interesting question. the story doesn't mention the fish. It does say it rained for forty days though, so presumably it was a fresh water flood.
And it must have been localised - after all, if the entire planet was flooded, where did the water recede to?

Actually the seas before the flood were quite fresh.
There was no rain before the flood. Rain washes the salt from the land and into the sea. Plus the fountains provided more fresh water.

The oceans are still getting saltier still today.
