When I try to play a cd in the car player it comes up with the message "CD mech " I have tried numerous cds but none play. Anyone know what my problem is ?

It happens when I try to play regular shop bought ones.... haven't tried any I recorded myself.

i dont know if you mean when you insert a CD-R it doesnt read it .Alot of car manufacturer's radios have a hard time reading recordable cd's ( CD-R's).If it doesnt read regular cd's i think a trip to your car dealer is needed

if you look in your audio seat handbook it should have a list of error codes for your radio that should pin point the problem for you
