Mine was viewing a documentary of the last days of a dying atheist man. It shocked me into being brave enough to start questioning.

1st event: Giving my life to Christ. I did it somewhat doubtfully, but actually found (experientially) that He is real.

2nd event: Felt quite abandoned by God just a few years ago and began to question his concern for me - but never his existance - too much experiential evidence.

3rd event: Looked back at 2nd event and (corny as it may seem) realized it was a "footprints in the sand" time for me.

Mine was watching a Muslim person being degraded every day by Christians in my middle school. I gave up Christianity and chose a religion that better suited me: Buddhism.

Just a thought while I was sitting on my front stoop, that we can explain lightning now and 500 years ago would have thought it was god being angry. Then I realized how silly the "god of the gaps" was.
