I guess it depends on both of u both.
For me, we officially become a couple after about a month dating n seeing each other. The night we declare our love n hold each other hands is the official date. However, in the first few months, we decided to celebrate every month just because we r so happy to be in love. Now, we r more sensible n wait for next year to come...

OKay. the next year when august 18th comes back around thats your 1 year. but every month when the 18th comes that be a month. 12 mnths in a year. damn i had to learn that for my bf. we been together 3 years and 3 mnths.anniversary is...um..damnit..um...august...24!
